Vijayashanti to join Congress?

Dealing a blow to the TRS, the party MP from Medak, M.
Vijayashanti, is likely to quit and join the Congress, with the Congress
Working Committee clearing the formation of Telangana.
Sources
close to her said she was camping in Delhi and strongly lobbying for
joining the Congress. Ms. Vijayashanti was reportedly having differences
with party president, K. Chandrasekhar Rao over contesting from Medak.
For
the last few months now, she had been openly asserting that ‘no force
on earth can prevent me from contesting from the Medak Lok Sabha seat
again in the 2014 elections as long as the peoples’ blessings are with
me.” She made this statement when reports appeared in a section of the
media stating that Mr. Rao was planning to contest from Medak. It was
also reported that TNGO president G. Devi Prasad Rao was also eyeing the
same seat.
“Not only Ms. Vijayashanti but some
other leaders from the TRS are in touch with the Congress leaders to
join that party in view of their political future,” observed a former
TRS leader from Medak district. Ms. Vijayashanti was not available for
comment.
“The month of August will witness a lot of
political developments in the State and more particularly in Telangana.
However, we are not sure which political party will benefit from it,”
said a senior TRS leader on condition of anonymity.
With all the politburo members taking unanimous decision to axe her out,
TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao has suspended Vijayasanthi from the
party. For taking up anti-party stance, the TRS Medak MP is expelled
from TRS. Also a press note released by TRS read that Vijayasanthi is
first given a show-cause notice to give explanation, failing which she
will be banned for life from the pink party.
Politician turned actress Vijayasanthi has contested from Medak
Constituency in 2009 general elections on TRS ticket, and won as
Loksabha MP. However, there is much fight for Medak seat this time as
TRS boss KCR himself wants to contest from there. From quite a few days
Vijayasanthi is also distancing herself from TRS activities and the
other day TRS banners at her house are removed and Indira Gandhi's
posters are erected.
A couple of hours back, Vijayasanthi however said every political party
in Telangana region wants her in their party, and that is enough to read
between the lines. Though the actress tried to turn down questions
about her migration to other political parties, this move from KCR is
surely giving the answer. Unconfirmed reports added that Vijayasanthi is
about to join in Congress party in next couple of days, and that is
