New besties of T – Town
The friendships and rivalries in Tollywood are never forever. They are unpredictable, changing and sometimes, even shocking. The same cane be stated of the new friendship blossoming between the two arch rivals of Telugu Cinema in the past – Trisha and Nayanthara. There was a phase in the industry when both the beauties were riding on the top league and would compete hands on to grab projects from each other. And now, like true senior professionals, the ladies have called it quits to the cold war and have commenced a new camaraderie.
Obviously, the rivalry of over 10 years did not come to an end just like that. Completing a decade in films, Nayan and Trisha have met at a party two years ago and ever since, the girlfriend giggles have not stopped. They keep in touch, hang out whenever they can and maintain that ‘girl’ relationship.
“We respect each other a lot. She’s one of the few actresses who understands me completely” stated Trisha, referring to the bonding shared with Nayan.
While Trisha has become one of the busiest in Tamil, Nayan suddenly seems to be riding high in Telugu. A National Award for her role as Sita in Sri Rama Rajyam, a commendable performance in Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum and now, the much awaited Kahaani remake by Sekhar Kammula, Anamika, where she plays a powerful protagonist – Nayan surely reached that top space of a veteran actress in a sudden span of last few years in Tollywood.
All in all, we wish the endearing soul sisterhood between the pretty ladies a great longevity.
