New VFX breakthrough with Baahubali

S S Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali has been in the news for plenty of reasons – one being that it would be one of the greatest films ever to be made in the history of Telugu Cinema. This apart, there are other spectacular highlights to the film, including visual effects, costumes, art design, direction etc., Talking about the visuals, a special team from Hollywood had been roped in to create a breakthrough VFX never seen on the fore of Indian Cinema – that’s right. The VFX used for the movie will surpass even the likes of Ra.One and Krishh 3. A visual effects extravaganza with over 4,500 CGI shots, the scenes will be a sublime merge between the reality and the imaginary.

Talking about the same, producer Shobu Yarlagadda vouches that Baahubali will be a ‘technical marvel’, first of its kind on the Indian Cinema marquee. Talking to a leading daily, the producer had many things to unfold regarding the technology being used – “We want to offer the audience a real visual spectacle and have been working in that direction from the outset. It’s a period drama that will transport the audience into a world of ancient forts, palaces, epic war sequences and the works. The VFX is going to be the most crucial element in the movie. We have the best national and international experts working on the film” said the producer.
Stated to be over a budget of 100 crores, the film stars Prabhas, Anushka, Rana and Tamannah in the lead roles. Going by the constant updates over the making of the movie, it sure shows that Rajamouli is keen on producing the film with brilliance and finesse. The exceptional work of SS in the past in well known.
It remains to be seen if the breath taking VFX of the film also manage to break all the records, along with stealing the hearts.
