Advancements in technology can cover up any kind of flaws providing one has the money and perseverance to go with it.
But one must be warned that while money can buy a lot of things including beauty, things can go really wrong with such procedures.
While Sridevi was a classic example of how cosmetic procedures can transform a person’s looks, her cousin Maheswari’s story is quite opposite.
There was time when Maheswari made her debut with Krishna Vamsi’s Gulabi. The film was a hit and she was Sridevi’s cousin. That got her quite a few roles and she went on to act in films like Mrugam, Nee Kosam, Ullasam, Pelli, etc.
Then one fine day, she decided to polish her looks and off she went to London. But she didn’t have the luck of her much famous cousin and her surgeries failed.
Instead of looking beautiful, she came back in a scary state. Her wide grin, her jaw line, her chin were her main problems.
Instead of enhancing her looks, the surgery contorted it further and film-makers stopped giving her offers.
Years later, she acted in a serial titled Mangatayaru which was well-received by television audiences.
Had her surgeries been successful, poor Maheswari would have gone places surely.
