“I’m no match to Priyanka” – Parineeti Chopra

The super talented cousin of superstar Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti Chopra is the toast of Bollywood these days. A tremendous debut and performances in films like Ishaqzaade and Shuddh Desi Romance, Parineeti is one of the best young talent that Indian Cinema can boast of. As the cute actress awaits the release of her next film Hasee Toh Phasee with Siddharth Malhotra this friday, she also is super impaient to watch Gunday, starring Priyanka releasing the next weekend.

Incidentally,last year Priyanka’s Zanjeer and Parineeti’s Shuddh Desi Roamnce released on the same day of September 6. Talking about her talent and her cousin’s star status in the industry, Parineeti had few interesting things to share. The 25 year old revers her older cousin to the matchless amounts.
“No, there is no competition with her (Priyanka). In fact, i am just waiting to watch Gunday. I just wish i get to see the movie at a screening before it releases on Feb 14″ she told the press during the promotion of her movie.
Parineeti will be portraying an interesting role of that of a mad scientist which was a physically exhausting job. She will be sporting a short hair for the first time on screen. “The character that i’m playing is very quirky. It is different from the ones that i have played before. Usually in movies, either an actress plays a normal girl or a mentally challenged, but my character in the movie is between the two. It was physically very exhausting for me to play it” she stated.
The character has curious traits of not blinking the eyes, keeping the tongue out etc., which were strenuous to portray, she explained. Getting the shot right in a single was no mean task, looking at the levels of insanity the girl carries, Parineeti said. Sounds like an intersting one to us.
The film directed by Vanil Mathew will see a worldwide release this Friday in theaters. Parineeti is destined to steal the show!
