Bollywood’s Bad Boy finalised For ‘Shuddhi’

Time and again, the casting of the film, ‘Shuddhi’, has made news. First it was the Ranveer-Deepika pair which was rumoured to be finalised. Then there were rumours of Katrina replacing Deepika doing the rounds and then there was an official confirmation stating that Ranveer-Deepika will not be a part of the film.
Salman-Khan-in-Shuddhi
But now, there seems to be a tangible update to this piece of news. Sources claim that Salman has been finalised to play the lead in the much-awaited mythological flick ‘Shuddhi’. The film is the on-screen adaptation of ‘The Shiva trilogy’ written by Amish Tripathi.
Meanwhile when a prominent meida house asked Karan Johar about the casting of ‘Shuddhi’ he replied saying, “Shuddhi has not been cast!”

Industry insiders have also been seen talking about Karan Johar and Akshay Kumar joining hands for a film. The film is rumoured to be titled ‘Warrior’ and will feature Akshay Kumar and KJo’s discovery Sidharth Malhotra in the lead. The film will be directed by Agneepath director, Karan Malhotra.
Mumbai Mirror reported that KJo and Akshay are indeed venturing into a co-production, but it will be helmed by Dharma’s other Malhotra, Punit Malhotra (of ‘I Hate Luv Stories’ and ‘Gori Tere Pyar Mein’ fame). And it is a remake of a South film.
Says a source close to the film, “The script of the first half is ready and will be given to Akshay for a read next week. Then, KJo, Akshay and Punit will have another meeting to flesh out the second half.”
This movie shall take off by the later part of the year.
Only ime will tell if and when actually these projects will see the light of the day.
Stay tuned for more updates.
