I Don't Need Sympathy: Shweta Basu
Actress Shweta Basu has spent two months in rescue home, after her alleged involvement in prostitution.
Currently, she is out and reached her home in Mumbai.
Talking to a Mumbai based paper, Shweta said, “Entire media has gone with a single statement which was cooked
up by a journalist. I never said that I was forced into prostitution. When I was in rescue home, no one had the access to talk with me and how can I give that statement? My grandfather died when I was in rescue home and was not able to attend his final rituals. Thanks to the media for telecasting cooked up news on me, my grandfather would have gone thinking that I really made that mistake."
"Many filmmakers offered me roles in their films. I will audition for those roles and accept them only if I fit for those characters. I don’t need any roles out of sympathy. I’m an actor and i deserve respect more than anything”, She said.
