Manju Warrier Defies Age Perceptions
Manju Warrier’s comeback film ‘How Old Are You?’ directed by Rosshan
Andrrews is already in the spotlight though it’s only in the post
production stages. Manju Warrier claimed her rightful place in the
pantheon of Malayalam’s greatest actresses through only a few films and
that too at a very young age. Her marriage to actor Dileep which
recently dissolved amidst much controversy also meant that the still
beautiful and very talented Manju was making a return to the industry
and fans who loved her so.
The film stars Manju as Nirupama Rajeev, a government UD Clerk earning for her family and leading a simple life. Kunchacko Boban plays her husband.
The story, however, picks up when Nirupama meets a younger girl, played by Kaniha Subramanian, who is modern and influences her life in unexpected ways. The plot is mainly concerned with how society views women and how perceptions of age changes things.
Kaniha said she is thrilled to be working with ‘Manju chechi’. Also said she is eagerly looking forward to her next role in ‘To Noora With Love’ co-starring with Mamta Mohandas and Krish Sathar.
‘How Old Are You?’recently launched its teaser promo on Youtube and has had quite the viewership. It would be interesting to see the fans react when this incredibly hyped comeback for Mollywood’s own Manju chechi hits the big screens across the state and outside.
