‘Anamika’ will make you forget ‘Kahaani’: Sekhar Kammula
The much-awaited Telugu Remake of the hit Bollywood-thriller
‘Kahaani, ‘Anamika’ has finally hit the screens today. The film star the
controversial lady Nayanthara in the lead and is directed by Ace
Tollywood director Sekhar Kammula.
The director is widely known for making movies with strong storylines and doesn’t believe in making typical Tollywood Masala flicks.
In a recent interview prior to the release of the film, he said, “Five minutes into the movie, you’ll forget ‘Kahaani’. No doubt, the Hindi film was made brilliantly,however there is no real similarity in the way both these movies are made.”
“Anamika is a strong-at-heart lady who doesn’t give two hoots about what anyone thinks. All she wants is to find out about her husband. The tight screenplay will ensure that the viewers do not move from their seats till the very end.”,added Sekhar.
With the movie opening to mixed review among audiences it remains to be seen whether the claims made by the director will stand the test of time.
‘Anamika’ released worldwide today in Telugu and Tamil. It is produced by Viacom-18 Networks along with Logline productions. Maestro Keeravani has composed the music for this flick.
