The actress of beauty, sizzle and oomph, Late Parveen Babi was born
today many years ago in 1949. Parveen starred opposite the likes of
Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor in the 70’s and 80’s and was a part
of some suuper commercial blockbusters like Deewar, Namak Halaal, Amar
Akbar Anthony and Shaan. She was often chosen as one of the most
beautiful actresses of that era by the Indian audiences.
The girl with chiselled looks started off her career as a model before entering into the tinsel town called Bollywood. Parveen changed the face of an Indian film heroine, sending in a strong message that even ‘boldness’ and ‘sex appeal’ will be accepted by the audience when portrayed by a leading lady of the film.
