Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in Farhan’s next
Farhan Akhtar’s next film contemplated to cast Aamir Khan as the
male lead has a new twist to the plan – with Aamir walking out of the
project due to disagreements on the remuneration and clauses, Hrithik
Roshan has been finalised to play the male protagonist in the film.
Deepika Padukone will be playing the leading lady.
The film that is yet to be titled will be directed by Nitya Mehra, who had earlier assisted as a director to some landmark films like Don, Life Of Pi and The Namesake. Touted to be time travelled drama, the movie will go on the floors by mid-February.
Deepika Padukone, who earlier opted out to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film with Salman Khan, is busy wrapping up her project Shuddhi directed by Karan Johar. Interestingly, Hrithik was first approached to play the lead for the same film but he cited date issues.
Deepika had been in some unpleasant news lately, with old friend Sonam Kapoor making some embarrassing comments on her sense of style on the National Television. Padukone, who now rules the 100 crore club as the number one heroine at Bollywood Box office is yet to make a statement or reply to Sonam’s statements. From what we know, Deepika is not into ‘small’ stuff anymore and is actively looking at soaring higher in the skies of the Bollywood brigade. She is in some major projects this year too, giving stiff competition to the usual contenders called Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Kangana Ranaut.
