Sonam Kapoor takes a dig at Deepika Padukone
Looks like the fashionista of the Country, Sonam Kapoor is going
overboard with her highly opinioated statements on her peers in
Bollywood. Surprisingly, Sonam directly attacked none other than Deepika
Padukone in the recent episode of Koffee with Karan while on the hot
seat with dad Anil Kapoor.
The national television saw Sonam making some surprising statements on Deepika. She said that Deepika Padukone has no style of her own. This came as a shocker since the two girls were last seen bonding on the same show, bitching about their celebrated ex, Ranbir Kapoor.
When K Jo asked as to who is Bollywood’s leading fashionista on the fashion trends, Sonam did not flinch and stated – “Deepika has upped her game..yes..but ita all thanks to Anaita (Shroff). Anaita has done a great job on her”
What more, Sonam simply didn’t want to stop there. She started praising Katrina Kaif saying, “Katrina is herself. She does not try to fit into a mould, which I respect a lot. She is not trying to be the fashion icon of the century”
The most hurtful dig was when Sonam pointed at Deepika’s frequent presence on the cover of Vogue. This came in when she spoke about Katrina’s style – “Even if Katrina wears a jeans and T Shirt and has her hair in ponytail…I’d rather have that than someone who is like ‘I want to be on the cover of Vogue every three months’.
Concluding some finishing touches on the Padukone, Sonam also labelled her as ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’
This is an interesting twist to the past friendship. We wonder if things are cold between the two beauties. Deepika was earlier offered the leading lady in Sooraj Barjatya’s film with Salman Khan.
The role later went to Sonam as Deepika had issues with her dates for the movie. Deepika, on the other hand, has learnt her lessons well. She is now not seen making any direct comments on anyone, as compared to the past. Everyone remembers the way she said she wanted to see Katrina Kaif’s passport in the early episodes of Koffee with Karan.
