Puri Jagannath Campaigns For Jagan
Elections in Telangana were held on April 30 but not many film
stars were involved in the campaigning for any party, except for Pawan
Kalyan who joined the TDP-BJP electioneering and Chiranjeevi for the
Congress.
Tomorrow (May 7, 2014), the much-hyped elections will be taking place in the Seemandhra region. As on this date, Seemandhra has witnessed many film stars such as – Raja, Balakrishna and Kodandarami reddy who were seen campaigning for various political parties in this region.
Joining this league of extraordinary celebrities is Ace Director Puri Jagannath. He was seen campaigning for the YSR Congress Party.
This news does not come as a shock but has sure raised many eyebrows!
As reported earlier Director, Puri Jagannadh finally came out in public to support Y.S Jagan’s CM candidature. It is a known fact that Puri’s brother is contesting on YSR Congress Party ticket for Narsipatnam constituency (Vizag Rural).
There was a unique twist to his style of campaigning though. Puri campaigned for Umashankar earlier and was spotted interacting with the locales of Narsipatnam and asking them to vote for Ganesh. Puri had participated in the roadshow and asked people to vote for his brother but did not mention the name of the party or the party symbol.
Puri Jagannath and YSR Congress chief YS Jagan have shared a special bond for quite some time now. Athough they belong to different fields, they have ensured that it has not stopped them from coming together.
A special bond of friendship had flourished between Puri and Jagan, ever since the latter announced a biopic of late YSR. However, the project never took off for the reasons known best to them.
Earlier, YS Vijayamma and Sharmila had stayed in Puri’s House in Narsipatnam for a night. This was after the Day 1 of the campaigning, which they had taken up in the absence of Jagan. The director himself had confirmed this news on the social networking site.
Given that there are so many factors linking to the closeness of Jagan and Puri Jagannath, we are sure that the upcoming elections will continue to be a starry affair.
Puri Jagannath is currently busy scripting his next movie ‘Kummestha’ starring Jr. NTR.
