Anthakamundu Aa Tarvatha to be screened at IIFFSA
Mohan Krishna Indraganti‘s much appreciated Telugu film of 2013, Anthakumundu Aa Tarvatha, after receiving rave reviews here, is now shortlisted to be screened at an international level. The film will be screened at 2nd Indian International Film Festival of South Africa (IIFFSA). The festival is scheduled to be held in Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg from 16th Jan to 24th Jan next year.
This is a great milestone not only for the director, but also for all the mid and small budget films segment in Tollywood.
“Its an honour to see our film being screened at International film festivals” said the rapt director, “We hope it impresses foreign audiences as well as it impressed people in India. I can see that gradually an increasing number of Indian films are travelling to these film fests and that is a good sign” Mohan Krishna added.
The film, that was produced and made at simpler levels, had the most unknown new faces being cast in the leading roles. Sumanth Ashwin and Eesha played these roles remarkably well, in a film that spoke about the plight of couples before and after entering wedlock. The concept which was old was freshly presented that captured appreciation from the critics and audience.
Let us hope that Anthakamundu Aa Tharavaata sets a new benchmark with this screening.
