Can never reach dad’s stardom – Abhishek Bachchan
Actor Abhishek Bachchan, will be seen reprising his famous role as Jai, a cop in Dhoom series, expressed that it is unimaginable for him to achieve the heights of stardom that his father did.
Megastar Amitabh Bachhan acted in over 180 films in a super illustrious career spanning five decades in a row. That, indeed looks humungus, larger than life and impossible even for his successor in family to get past with. 71 years old and still going strong, Amitabh stands as a standing example for many in the B Town.
“One must stay in their limits only. I think one must aim for Mars…forget about reaching the Sun. It is not going to happen. It is the same with him. He is the biggest, was, is and ever going to be. So don’t aspire to be that because it is not going to happen. Aspire to be your own man and achieve your own goals” said Abhishek in a free wheeling conversation with PTI.
Abhishek himself had a roller coaster ride with career as an actor. Films like Guru, Bunty Aur Babli, Yuva and Bol Bachchan proved that he is a promising talent who can deliver in intense roles. Marrying a Bollywood diva Aishwarya Rai who had more hits than him does not deter Abhishek to perform.
The young Bachchan was all praise for his father’s impeccable stamina to perform on screen even today, not to forget hosting shows on Telly. ”i hope and pray that i’m doing the same thing as he is. I cant see my life without getting the opportunity to work and do films. I hope i’m blessed enough that even at his age i get to be making films everyday” said the 37 year old.
