As the year is coming to an end, it is time to revisit the top 10
actresses of Tollywood this year along with their list of movies. As
every year, Tollywood this year introduced numerous talents from other
languages like Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi but only few were
able to make a mark.

10. Tamannah Bhatia
Milky beauty Tamannah had just one release this year: Tadakha. The movie had nothing to offer to the audience by Tamannaah in terms of performance but was limited to songs and romantic scenes. The same actress who won hearts of Telugu audience in movies like 100% love and Happy Days was limited just to skin show. Milky beauty was busy with Bollywood projects this year and was rarely seen in Telugu movies. Tamannaah could not show her Tadakha this year and occupies last position.
9. Eesha
Eesha was the new face introduced to Telugu film industry, was able to make mark with her performance in the movie Anthaku Mundhu Aa Taruvatha (AMAT) released this year. Eesha character in the movie was considered equally important to the hero Sumanth Ashwin and very crucial to the movie.
8. Anushka Shetty
Anushka had one direct release Mirchi and two dubbing movies Singam II and Varna this year, of which Mirchi was a blockbuster hit, Singam was received well at box office and Varna bombed miserably. Though Anushka’s character in Mirchi and Varna had something to offer in terms of performance, but her performance in Singam II was limited to songs and some scenes. Wish she creates magic with her performance in Baahubali and Rudramadevi in the coming years.
7. Nanditha
Nanditha had just one release this year: Prema Katha Chitram (PKC). PKC was received and fared well at the box office. Nanditha performance dominated the hero Sudheer Babu in most of the scenes and her performance in the negative shade should deserve an award.
6. Swati Reddy
Swati popularly known as Colors Swati had only one release this year, Swamy Ra Ra which is the surprise hit. Her performance in the movie is appreciated well both by critics and audience. Swati being a Telugu girl is now limited to only small budget movies when she has caliber of performing in heroine oriented movies like Arundathi, Anasuya, etc.
5. Nithya Menon
Nithya had three releases this year starting with Okkadiney, Jabardasth and Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde (GJG). Okkadine and Jabardasth though flops were appreciated by the critics for her performance. It was her performance in GJG which made her to stay in the top 5. GJG was a blockbuster hit and proved that still actresses had some scope to perform rather than limiting themselves to skin shows and songs.
4. Shruti Hassan
Shruti had two releases this year starting with Balupu and Ramayya Vasthavayya. Balupu was an above average movie and Ramayya Vasthavayya a disaster. Shruti performance in Balupu attracted the masses; her performance in Ramayya Vasthavayya was short and sweet. Shruti who mesmerized audience with her performances in movies Gabbar Singh and 3 last year could not continue to repeat magic this year.
3. Kajal Agarwal
Kajal had two releases this year starting with Naayak and Baadshah. Of these two, Nayak was a hit movie and Baadshah was an above average movie. Compared to previous years, her movies in Telugu have decreased and performance in the above two movies was nothing to talk about but just limited to songs and some scenes. The overall success of these movies only make Kajal stand in the third position

Anjali had three releases this year – Seethamma Vakitlo Sirmalle Chettu (SVSC), Balupu and Masala. SVSC was an industry hit, Balupu an above average movie and Masala an average. Anjali’s performance in SVSC was appreciated and applauded by audience and critics and that makes her sit on second position in the list,
1. Samantha Ruth Prabhu
Samantha had four releases this year starting with Seethamma Vakitlo Sirmalle Chettu, Jabardasth, Attarintiki Daredi and Ramayya Vasthavayya. SVSC and Attarintiki Daredi were considered as industry hits and remaining two were disasters.
