Alia Bhatt’s new look in 2 States creates a stir
Hot young actress Alia Bhatt, who made waves into the industry with
Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year’, proved that she is more than a
teenage sensation. Acting comes naturally to this 21 year old, who hails
from the Bhatt family, being the daughter of a celebrated director
Mahesh Bhatt. An equal balance of glamor and talent, Alia proved that
she is capable of intense portrayals with her recent role in the film
Highway. Alia silenced her critics and speculators by playing the
deglamourized role with effortless ease.
The talented girl will now be seen playing the role of a South Indian in the film 2 States, directed by Abhishek Varman. The new interesting South Indian look sported by Alia in the film was shown to the film lovers in the film promos and trailer – Alia is now setting the trend with her new look!
The film based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel with the same name stars Arjun Kapoor playing the male lead. Arjun plays the role of a North Indian boy who falls in love with Alia, a South Indian girl. The movie brings Arjun and Alia together on screen for the first time, much anticipated by young crowd, especially after their individual successes as actors. While Arjun made a commendable impact with his acting in films like Aurangazeb and Gunday, Alia is on her way up the next gen leads, as one of the promising talent of the future Bollywood.
The film also stars Ronit Roy, Revathy and Shiv Kumar Submaniam in the prominent roles. 2 States hits the screens worldwide on 18 April 2014.
