Nivin Pauly to play Mammootty!
Sounds a little bit too intriguing and made up? Well it’s not!
Rising star Nivin Pauly will play the role of the real life Mammootty in
the biopic Nakshathrangalude Rajakumaran directed by Jude Anthony,
coming next year!
The movie, which is based on Mammootty’s own autobiography, has a few other attractions in it as well, according to reports – the role of actor Sreenivasan will be played by his son Vineeth Sreenivasan and the role of the late actor Sukrumaran will be played by his son Indrajith Sukumaran.
The evergreen legend, late actor Prem Nazir will be portrayed by Kunchacko Boban and the rest of the cast is yet being decided.
The biggest question (for some fans) in this scenario will have to be who is playing Mohanlal in the film??!! Surely, if the story tells of Mammootty’s life and rise to stardom and so on, reel life peer and real life friend Universal star Mohanlal has to be in there somewhere!
Apparently, Mammootty saw a short film made based on his autobiography and gave the green light for the project. According to sources, it was Nivin Pauly himself who helped with the creation of the project initially.
This project has been a dream of Jude Anthony’s for years and he has wanted it made since before starting the hit movie Om Shanthi Oshana which starred Nivin. There are still details to be fixed and the director says he may only start on the project next year, perhaps after another project in between.
He says he really wants Dulquer Salman also to be a part of the film, given the young actor’s talent and of course, the fact that the movie is about his father.
