Vijay to be at Modi’s swearing in ceremony
It came as no surprise to everyone to learn that Narendra Modi’s
grand swearing ceremony as the Prime Minister of India will have
several celebrities in attendance who supported Modi’s campaign and of
course, super star Rajnikanth was at the top of the list in that regard.
But it is a pleasant surprise to learn that actor Vijay has been
invited as well!
Vijay told the press that Modi had expressed interest in meeting him when he came to Chennai but couldn’t make it work because the actor was in Hyderabad at the time. So taking time out of his schedule, Vijay had gone to meet Modi when he was in Coimbatore. It was this gesture from the actor that won him Modi and his team’s appreciation and got him invited to the prestigious ceremony.
According to reports, Vijay will fly out to Delhi sometime this week to be present at the ceremony which the BJP, who have won a massive victory, is planning to make a grand event with thousands of supporters in the audience at the Rashtrapathi Bhavan.
Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay recounted meeting Modi and said that he was surprised to know that the actor was known to the prime ministerial candidate and felt grateful that someone like ‘Guruji’ had taken an interest in the work and life of someone as ordinary as him.
