Ghosts clicked,Gods didn’t-Rajnikanth
In a surprisingly pleasant mood, Superstar Rajnikanth opened up about his films.
“I made films with different concepts. In Sivaji we dealt with politics, in Baba we dealt with God, in Chandramukhi the main focus was on a ghost and in Robot it was Science and technology.. Surprisingly, God’s concept didn’t click at box office, but Ghost (Chandramukhi) did well at box office. Strange isn’t it?’, said Rajnikanth.
The superstar was in town for an event of his magnum opus ‘Kochadaiyaan (Vikramsimha)’. Speaking about his films, he even went on to admit that some of his films have been flops and deservingly indeed. “My films flopped because the people didn’t like it. Maybe they were not happy with it. I shall strive to work only on the projects which have a probability of making the audiences happy.”, said a humble Rajnikanth.
Well,it sure does take guts to accept failure and with such humility, the superstar left everyone present at the event in awe.
The superstar even went on to praise his contemporary of yesteryears,Kamal Hassan. “Well,he’s a great actor. A better one at that than me. He is an eye for detail. It’s ironical that he is not able to play a part and use his talent in Sci-Fi flicks. I wish him good luck and success with his future endeavours.”,said the superstar.
All in all,it was an evening of sheer delight and inspiration as the superstar gave us a glimpse of his humility and just made us understand, again, why people really worship him.
