YSRCP Spokesperson Shobha Nagireddy Passes Away
In a tragic twist to the current political scene in Mana Andhra
Pradesh, Shobha Nagireddy, YSR Congress Party Spokesperson and Allagadda
candidate,succumbed to serious injuries she sustained in a road mishap
late on Wednesday night.
Shobha was returning to her native Allagadda from Nandyal in Kurnool district, after wrapping up her campaign when the accident took place, reported Sakshi Post.
According to Gulte, the car in which Shobha was travelling overturned after hitting paddy heaps dumped on the road. She was reportedly flung out of the car and sustained grave injuries on her head and neck. The accident reportedly took place in Doobaguntamitta near Allagadda.
Shobha was shifted to Suraksha hospital in Nandyal and after getting preliminary treatment she was moved to Care Hospital in Hyderabad, according to Sakshi Post. She was in critical condition and went into a coma. Doctors at the hospital put her on ventilator and tried to revive her.
Despite doctors’ efforts, Shobha passed away on Thursday morning. She is survived by her husband Bhuma Nagireddy and three children.
