Nargis Fakhri plays gangster’s daughter

Tall and svelte Nargis Fakhri, who shot to fame with Rockstar, did not see much of a career boost post the success of the film. The movie may have fetched Ranbir Kapoor a bigger ground with roles, but Fakhri was criticized for her ‘dumb’ rendition playing the leading lady. The actress who was struggling to get meaty roles can now breathe easy. Nargis will play an interesting role in the upcoming film with Varun Dhawan – of that of a don’s daughter.

Main Tera Hero, which will soon hit the theaters, is a direct remake of Telugu super hit, Kandireega. Going by the role in debate, the Telugu version saw actress Aksha playing that role and getting all the praises. The second lead Aksha played a Telangana speaking village dame who is after the hero to get married to him by hook or crook. The portrayal was funny and captivating. While one wonders how this was transcended into a Bollywood version, the scope for Nargis to perform in such an act is
immense.

Ileana D’Cruz plays the first female lead in this hilarious action comedy directed by David Dhawan. The remake rights of Kandireega were bought by producer Ekta Kapoor for a mind blowing price of 2 crore rupees. Deserving, considering that the story is an out an out commercial entertainer with cash ringing prospects at the Box Office.
This will also be the first time for heartthrob Varun to act in his father’s film. Main tera Hero is planned for a summer release to entertain the audience in the vacation time.
