Kareena Kapoor does an item number for Gabbar
Kareena Kapoor Khan, who swore never to do an item number ever
again, had to break her vow. She has obliged to do an item number for
her Shabina Khan, for Gabbar. Shabina is co producing the movie.
Her close friends on anonymity confirmed the news – “Bebo was tempted because it was the Gabbar. Producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali supervised her look and presentation in the item song. And Bebo was very impressed with what Sanjay did in Priyanka Chopra’s item song in Ram Leela. Kareena, who was last seen shaking a leg with Salman Khan in Dabangg 2 for the song ‘Fevicol Se’, also made a cameo appearance in Rowdy Rathore. Though few in number, Kareena Kapoor’s item songs are always a hit with the masses.
The Kapoor girl slowed down a bit after tying the knot with Saif Ali Khan, taking things nice and easy focussing on the domestic bliss.
Gabbar is a direct remake of Tamil hit Ramana. The story revolves around a group of students lead by a professor who opts for violent path to fight the corruption in the country.
Aksha Kumar plays the central protagonist of the professor in the film.
Incidentally, Kareena is also set to play an good role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming fim, Bhajirao Mastani. Ranveer Singh will in all likelihood play the male lead, repeating the success quotient of Ram Leela. Incidentally, the films made by Bhansali mix the old world charm with new.
