Pawan Kalyan-Most Searched Celebrity On Google
Pawan Kalyan, brother of actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi, has topped the list of celebrity candidates searched on Google.
Pawan Kalyan who recently launched a new political party,’Jana Sena’,also happens to be the most sought after celebrity in the Indian Film Industry. Most politicians are looking to get him to campaign for them as he has drawn huge crowd at his public meetings.
“A lot of celebrities are contesting in 16th Lok Sabha elections. Celebrities have always been a major draw for political parties in the Indian electoral process, especially in the campaigning phase but they are expected to play a bigger role in this election season,” Google said in a statement.
Bollyood actress Nagma was also popular on the web and drew more traffic compared to BJP’s Hema Malini.
Rakhi Sawant also gained significant response online with the launch of her new political party Rashtriya Aam Party in Mumbai, ranking seventh in the search list.
Although the clash between actress Gul Panag from AAP and Kirron Kher from BJP for the Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat created a lot of buzz online, they didn’t make it to the top 10.
Others on the list include Chiranjeevi, stand-up comedian Raju Srivastava and Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tiwari. Rashtriya Lokdal candidate from Bijnor (UP) and Jaya Prada also made it to the list.
