Simbhu – Hansika Relationship Fake?

It was only last year that Kollywood’s own playboy Silambarasan and up and coming hottie Hansika Motwani announced via Twitter to the world that they were in love and had been seeing each other for some time.
Then, in a rather mystifying manner, they asked the media to stay out of their private lives, leaving everyone in the industry and outside to wonder why they announced it in the first place. Here begins this tale of suspicion and intrigue..


The couple’s leaked photos of them together in parties in each other’s arms began appearing out of nowhere on the web, though no one took credit for them. A few months later Hansika announces, again via Twitter, that she was no longer with Simbhu.
A fact that she emphasized through the social media when she spent Valentine’s day with her friends, not Simbhu and then sent out tweets describing the fun she was having. Later came Simbhu’s own announcement that they were no longer together and that he was happy being single again.
Now, looking at the series of events, one has to consider the possibility, as do many in Kollywood, that the whole thing was a publicity stunt orchestrated to create a buzz for their upcoming movies ‘Vettai Mannan’ and ‘Vaahi’.
In this age of new media, to what length will celebrities go to get any kind of publicity for profit?
