[Note: The US numbers are gross figures]
Trade analyst and critics genius Taran Adarsh tweeted - ”Telugu film #1Nenokkadine has embarked on a glorious start in USA. Opening wknd: $946,552 [₹ 5.82 cr]. Some screens yet to report”
1 Nenokkadine is a psychological thriller made in the lines of Hollywood standards. This is the first time Sukumar deigned to try something ‘new’ in Hollywood, fetching accolades from his peers and confusion plus criticism among a section of Telugu movie goers. The tale was told in a very different way, with Mahesh playing the central protagonist who combats a psychological disorder and sets off on a mission to find out the truth. The visuals received amazing response, with Mahesh’s chiseled looks adding up the star quotient. Devi Sri Prasad’s rocking music won the hearts of everyone.

The fiilm managed to beat Tamil films like “Jilla” and “Veeram” in its first weekend at the US box office. While “Jilla” fetched $192,858 (₹1.19 crore) from 69 screens, “Veeram” minted $201,101 (₹1.24 crore) from 67 screens.
Directed by Sukumar, “1 Nenokkadine” has Mahesh Babu and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. The other cast members include Nassar, Anu Haasan, Sayaji Shinde, Pradeep Rawat and Kelly Dorji. Mahesh’s son made his debut as a child artiste in the film.
