Vikramarkudu to have a sequel
Vikramarkudu, a film directed by S S Rajamouli starring Ravi Teja went on to become one of the roaring blockbusters in Tollywood. The film was also remade in Tamil with the title, Siruthai. Director Shiva, who made the film in Kollywood is now planning to make a sequel for Siruthai in Tamil. This means that Vikramarkudu will see a sequel as such in Telugu, if dubbed back.
Director Shiva was busy directing Veeram starring Ajith in Tamil. The film will see a Sankranthi release this year. The plans are on to even dub the film in Telugu as Veerudokkade. Shiva intends to concentrate on the Vikramarkudu remake post the release.
Apparently, Shiva narrated the story to Actor Karthi Sivakumar, who played Ravi Teja’s role in Tamil. If Karthi reprises the role for the sequel it would be interesting to see the reaction from all quarters. The Vikramarkudu sequel would be something people will wait in anticipation, especially as Shiva will be trying to add to the originality of S S.
Vikramarkudu was also remade in Hindi recently, as Rowdy Rathore. Starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha, the movie went on to become a cash raking superhit at Box Office.
The details of other cast and crew are yet to be revealed for the project.
