Baahubali shoot cancelled today
The cast of crew of Baahubali have cancelled the shoot today as a mark of respect for the Late legendary actor, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, who passed away early this morning after a long battle with cancer. The 91 year old veteran announced lately at the press meet about his ailing condition and his stint to fight. Director S S Rajamouli called in for a shoot to stop today observing the mourning for ANR.
“We are deeply sorry to hear of the demise of ANR garu. We have cancelled shoot today as a mark of respect to the great man! TFI will miss U!” tweeted the Baahubali team, expressing shock and grief like many others in the industry. The team is currently shooting for an epic battle scene at Ramoji Film City, marking the climax of the movie’s first part.
S S Rajamouli, who recently acquired attention of the Jain community in Karnataka who are angry over the title of the film which is close to the name of one of their saints, will now have to revert with a statement to address the issue. The film stars Prabhas, Anushka and Rana in the main leads.
The film crew will call it a day today before they resume the shoot tomorrow. Meanwhile, the entire film fraternity of Tollywood is paying their highest homage to the iconic persona of Indian Cinema who is no more.
